The features of digital printing and gravure printing:

Digital Printing:
1. No printing plate costs.
2. Short lead time
3. Lower minimum quantities (as low as 200-500 pcs per print)
4. Colors not limited
5. High unit price

Advantages: The cost is lower for a small quantity of color printing bags, as there is no plate cost, and the lead time is short, suitable for new product development and testing the market.

Gravure Printing:
1. The lead time is longer
2. Low unit price
3. Various material structures and custom finishes available
4. Special custom inks and Pantone colors available
5. Higher printing quality

Advantages: Low unit price for large quantity bags. The cylinder charge is only a one-time cost. It’s no longer charged within the validity period of the plate roll. Mass orders generally use gravure printing.

Conclusion: It is generally recommended that if the product is in the trial sales stage, first use digital printing to see the packaging effect and market feedback.
